Association Casa Adobe

Our mission is simple but powerful: to be good neighbors. Neighbors are human and nonhuman. Neighbors share streets and, also, watershed. So being good neighbors requires caring for people and caring for place, our urban environment, the river that irrigates it, as well as mountain springs. Being good neighbors requires attention to the young and the old, to long-time residents and to people who pass by. Being good neighbors means conserving, cleaning up, restoring, recovering life and relationships broken by neglect, conflict, and indifference. This is what the Casa Adobe Association is all about.

Our journey

Since 2013, the Casa Adobe Association has been working to create spaces for comprehensive exchange between people and their environment. Over the years, we have achieved important milestones in:

  • Community organizing

  • Creative educational opportunities

  • Ecological justice

  • Accompaniment to migrants and refugees

Our work is constant and grows organically. Each achievement drives us to continue forward and face new challenges with renewed determination.

Our dreams

We envision a future in which nature and community harmoniously intertwine: children enjoying the river, trees blossoming in previously degraded places, families sharing moments in green spaces, migratory birds and human beings finding places of rest and restoration; and visitors committed to the conservation and care of the environment.

Our values

We are guided by a set of core values that underpin everything we do:

Community: We believe in the power of community, where people support and lift each other in pursuit of a common purpose.

Environmental management: Our responsibility to care for and preserve the environment is the basis of our identity.

Cultural exchange: We celebrate diversity and embrace cultural exchanges that break down barriers and foster understanding.

Spiritual Connection: Our work is deeply spiritual and reflects our reverence for creation and our role as stewards of the Earth.
